San Francisco Giants
“IT DOESN’t GET MORE SF”

PART 1: IF THEY WEREN’T PLAYERS, THEY WOULD BE FANS

For over 60 years, the Giants have embodied everything that makes San Francisco unique. And 2018’s team was no exception.

PART 2: PRIDE

For nearly two decades, MLB teams have celebrated the LGBTQIA2S+ community with ceremonial first pitches, anthem performances, merchandise, and speeches — rarely, if ever, with player participation. On June 5, 2021, the San Francisco Giants changed that. Against the Chicago Cubs, players debuted Pride-colored hats and an “SF” patch on their jerseys, marking MLB’s first on-field, player-supported expression of LGBTQIA2S+ pride.

SF Giants players not only won the game (4-3 GO GIANTS!) but also showed their support for LGBTQIA2S+ community and continued embodying everything that makes San Francisco, San Francisco.
