A's Hunt
2010 has not been a great year for the Oakland A’s.
Amidst record low attendance, our client Comcast Sportsnet California needed to
increase ratings for their game broadcasts and reignite a fan base that hasn’t had
much to cheer for. They didn’t need a campaign. They needed some excitement.
So we created the CSN A’s Hunt, the Bay Area’s first twitter scavenger hunt.

We took 1000 game tickets that would’ve otherwise gone unsold and other exclusive
A’s memorabilia like team-autographed balls and hid prize envelopes throughout the
Bay Area.
All you had to do was follow our Twitter feed under the hash tag #AsHunt and use
the clues to track down an envelope.

Going against their traditional ads, we used wild postings and their own network
to promote the Hunt, plus specially filmed spots.

Soon A’s fans were on the prowl. Participation skyrocketed with each Hunt.

Thanks to the hunts we’ve increased CSN California’s followers by over 40% and created hundreds of unique hits on their site as we posted winners on our exclusive A’s Hunt blog.
